My foundational academic training began at the University of Dhaka, where I earned both a Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSS) with Honors and a Master of Social Sciences (MSS) in Public Administration. Prior to beginning my doctoral studies at Oregon State, I spent several years building a rigorous empirical research background in South Asia. From 2019 to 2021, I worked as a Research Assistant at the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b) - a globally recognized leader in public health research.
Following this, I served as a Research Associate at the Department of Economics within North South University. During this tenure, I contributed to the NSU-KGF research project titled "Assessing Adoption and Diffusion of Agricultural Innovations in Bangladesh." This was in collaboration with national and international institutions like Bangladesh Agricultural University, Curtin University, and the University of Western Australia. We targeted over 1,700 respondents including farmers, retailers, and state officials across multiple geographic divisions and analyzed quantitative and qualitative data to understand the factors that influenced farmers to adopt agricultural technologies.
